WHO WE SUPPORT

We fund only organizations who are registered Canadian charities and can provide all supporting documentation. The Foundation cannot make grants to individuals, for-profit organizations or even not-for-profit organizations that are not registered Canadian charities.

 

GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTIONS

The Fyfe Foundation offers grants to organizations in the Province of Ontario or national programs that benefit Ontario-based organizations.

GRANT FUNDING STREAMS

The Fyfe foundation accepts applications for two types of grants yearly:

 

              SINGLE YEAR GRANTS

A one time grant for the purpose of a project or program that requires an influx of capital. These grants are to be completed in the calendar year.

              MULTI-YEAR GRANTS

Grants that are delivered over the course of several years to help with programs and projects that support our mandate. These grants focus on the development of a new long term program or sustaining an existing one.

 

           Please note that an organisation can only actively be part of one grant path at a time.

 

FUNDING RANGE

The funding range for both types of grants is between $25,000.00 and $100 000.00 CDN. Multi-year grants ranges are calculated by the overall grant value and not per year. 

 

THE PROCESS

The Fyfe Foundation has a two-step procedure, beginning with a letter of inquiry, which should contain the following.​

• A brief description of the project or purpose for which the funding is sought

• A brief description of the organization's history, objectives and activities

• A brief budget and timeline for project

PROPOSAL DEADLINES

​Letter of intent :  August 1st  to November 1st

Full Proposal:  November 1st to January 1st

​

FULL PROPOSAL APPLICATIONS MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Registered charity number

• Organizational overview

• Funding request amount

• Project budget

• Project activities

• Project outputs and outcomes

• Project needs and benefits

• Most recent audited financial statements

• Additional materials (including organization logo and photos)
